He creates his work through the use of Biro's, Indian ink, acrylic paints and photography, then he scans is work into illustrator. I like his work because i like how it is sketchy and has a friendly feel with all the faces he puts on things. I would like to experiment with the sketching he does, i could do this on a graphics tablet.
Keith Harring
I like his work because he makes pop art, which means he uses very bright vibrant colours.
1st picture - I like this work because it reminds me of a puzzle, all of it joins together, and it catches your eye, I like how he has left a blue corner, to grab your eye and draw you in and shows you what is going on.
2nd picture - I like this picture for the bright colours used, it will really grab your eye. I also like how he draws the people to simply, and just adds lines to make them have movement.
I would really like to experiment with how he works, using some people as background so the all fit into each other maybe.
Jasper Goodall
I like his work because he uses sillouette type outlines for people, also he adds a lot of random shapes that work well with the picture, this is a good idea for my brief because a lot of shapes and patterns were used in the 80's.
1st picture - I like how the person isn't a complete silloutte, but it also had detail, I would like to experiment with some stuff like this.
2nd picture - I love how he has used half of this as a real person and matches it up to the photo. I also like how hes has added different colours into his sillouttes.
Kathering Hamnet
I saw Katherings work when I went to the club to catwalk exhibition, and I really liked how she used type on her work, and how she tied it to different campaigns. Also how it is so simple but it is so effective to many people.
Paulo Canabarro
I saw this piece of his work and I really liked it. I liked what he has done with the background and how he has photoshopped a girl into it. I would like to create something similar to this, but adding other artist influence and also what inspired me in the 80's day.
