Research

Robert Brownjohn went to London in the 60’s and took pictures of different street typography in London that he thought was interesting. Then when we got home he made a 32 page visual essay of pictures he has taken when going around London, he also made all these pictures in grey scale,

London typographical website

This website has been inspired by Brownjohn because its people that have spotted a piece of typography that they like and have taken a picture and blogged it on this website so that everyone else can see it. The difference is that most of these pictures are in colour. This shows that times have moved on but people are still influenced by Brownjohns work, but have adapted it to their own style.

Rawtype.co.uk

This website is more of a blogging site, where you blog a whole trip where you have taken different pictures of typography you have found. This is similar to what Brownjohn did with his visual essay. However in this blogging site some people have kept there pictures in colour and sometimes even edited them.
